Is Standard Injection Molding Right for Your Project?

Standard injection molding is used for parts that do not need an ISO Class 8 cleanroom. It can process both common thermoplastics and suitable engineering plastics, supporting projects from sampling through stable mass production.

  • Parts that do not require cleanroom molding
  • Common thermoplastics and suitable engineering plastics
  • Projects moving from sample approval into repeat production
  • New production tooling or an existing production mold in China
If your project must be molded in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom, view our ISO Class 8 Cleanroom Molding capability.

What Standard Production Includes

This page focuses on the production setup, process control, tooling coordination, and inspection support used for standard injection molding programs.

01Project Review

Drawings, material, production volume, and part requirements are reviewed before the molding route is confirmed.

02Machine Selection

The injection molding machine is selected according to part size, mold requirements, and production needs.

03Sampling Approval

Samples and inspection results are reviewed before the project moves into stable production.

04Repeat Production

Approved molding conditions and inspection requirements support repeat orders and batch consistency.

80T–1,500T Injection Molding Machine Range

The available machine range supports different mold sizes and plastic-part requirements within the same Shenzhen factory. Machine selection is confirmed after reviewing the part, mold, material, and required production volume.

  • Support for small components and larger molded housings
  • Single-cavity and multi-cavity production tooling support
  • Production planning based on project requirements and available capacity

Production Automation

Robotic Handling for Suitable Production Programs

Robotic part handling is used where it fits the mold, part geometry, and production setup. It can reduce unnecessary manual contact and help maintain repeatable cycle control.

  • Automation applied according to the production program
  • Reduced manual contact where robotic handling is used
  • Defined molding parameters and in-process inspection

Materials and Colors for Your Part Requirements

Material selection and preparation depend on part function, appearance, dimensional requirements, and the specified resin grade. Standard production can support common thermoplastics and suitable engineering materials.

  • Material grade reviewed against part and production requirements
  • Custom colors and color masterbatch available based on Pantone color references
  • Material preparation based on the selected resin
  • High-performance material details available on the Engineering Plastics Injection Molding page

In-House Tooling Support for Stable Production

Production tooling is built, maintained, and modified to support injection molding production. Because the tool shop and molding teams work in the same factory, they can coordinate directly during mold trials, maintenance, and production changes.

  • DFM and tooling review connected to production requirements
  • In-house maintenance and mold modifications
  • Direct coordination between tooling and molding teams
  • Support from sampling through stable production

Quality Checks from Sampling to Shipment

We inspect the key stages of each production program according to the part requirements and agreed inspection plan. This helps confirm approved samples, check production output, and prepare the required quality records.

01

Before Molding

Material grade, color, and production requirements are checked before molding starts.

02

Sample Approval

Initial molded parts are inspected and submitted for review before mass production.

03

During Production

Parts are checked at the inspection intervals defined for the project.

04

Before Shipment

Finished parts and packaging are checked before the order is released for shipment.

Standard Injection Molding FAQs

What is the difference between standard and cleanroom molding?

Standard molding supports plastic parts that do not require a controlled cleanroom environment. ISO Class 8 cleanroom molding is available when the project has defined cleanliness requirements.

What production volumes do you support?

Sampling: MOQ ≥ 10 units. Mass production: MOQ ≥ 50 units.

How do you confirm achievable tolerances?

Achievable tolerances depend on part design, material, wall thickness, mold construction, and part size. We review the drawings and confirm the production approach during DFM.

Can you support high-volume production?

Yes. We support stable mass-production programs with 80T–1,500T injection molding machines. The machine, mold configuration, automation, and production schedule are confirmed after we review your part and required annual volume.

Can you work with an existing mold?

Yes, when the production mold is currently in China. We review its condition and the project requirements before confirming the transfer and production plan.

What information do you need for a quotation?

Please provide the available 2D drawings, 3D files, material specification, expected production volume, and relevant project requirements.
