What to Send — If Available
Send any information you have about the molds and parts.
Mold list showing each mold number and its corresponding part number, plus 2D drawings or available 3D files.
Material information, approved samples, previous production information, and the previous injection molding process parameter sheet, if available.
Known quality issues, repair history, and assembly, mating-part, or packing requirements.
What We Do After the Mold Arrives
We inspect the mold, explain the findings, and prepare it for trial production.
Inspect the Mold
We check the mold structure, operating mechanisms, cooling connections, and critical molding surfaces.
Report the Findings
We explain any issue that could affect mold trials, part quality, or mass production.
Submit a Repair Plan
If work is needed, we provide a clear repair or modification proposal for your approval.
Run the Mold Trial
After approved work is complete, we run the mold with the agreed material and process settings.
What Requires Your Approval
You remain in control of the two decisions that affect your mold and production release.
Repair or Modification Work
We do not start repair, replacement, or modification work until you approve the proposal.
First Article Before Mass Production
We submit the first article or agreed samples for approval before mass production starts.
When Mass Production Starts
Mass production starts after these four points are confirmed.
Approved Mold Work Is Complete
Any approved repair, replacement parts, or modification work has been completed.
Mold Trial Is Successful
The mold runs with the agreed material and produces acceptable trial parts.
First Article and Assembly Are Approved
The first article meets the agreed requirements, and assembly is verified where applicable.
Inspection Items Are Confirmed
We confirm what will be checked during mass production and before shipment.
During mass production, we continue with in-process inspection, final inspection before shipment, production records, and planned mold maintenance.
Planning an Injection Mold Transfer in China?
If your molds are in China, send us the information you have. Missing records do not prevent the transfer.
After arrival, we inspect the molds, complete approved work, run mold trials, and confirm the first article before mass production.
